Hello Everyone,
I am currently in the market for a street glide and just havent found the right one yet. I am in the military stationed in GA and enjoy getting out on my current bike. If you have any information on street glides pros, cons, and anything else that I should look for when purchasing the information would be much appreciated. I hope to get to know others on this forum and in my surrounding area. 2W1L
I can't tell you much about Street Glides, trust me the guys/gals on here are amazing they will be able to. However I can say thanks for your service and welcome to the forum from Ohio!!
I've got family down there. They don't ride because traffic is nuts. Welcome aboard.
Not sure what year your looking at, but if you can afford it get a '17. I own a '14 Limited and pull the trunk, change the windshield and the seat.
Best of both worlds I guess. The LTD comes with coolant cooled heads with radiators in the lowers, therefore I cannot remove them. You would benefit from a twin cooled. It comes with taller air ride rear shocks (which I have no problem with). You can always throw some '17 SG suspension under a '14 to '16 Limited. The people I talked to with an actual SG say they don't like the white gauges, bonus for me, mine are black. Other than that it's pretty much a SGS. I would say if you plan on a trunk you might want anot Ultra. If you don't mind the lowers, get a Limited. The twin cooled runs much cooler.
Welcome from Colorful Colorado What year are you looking for? Best thing to do is find a dealer and test ride. That is a very popular model. Now, I say look at a shark
I bought my SG as a good all-around bike, and I haven't regretted it one bit. Now that I have a Street Bob, too, I'm thinking about maybe upgrading the SG to one of the new M8 bikes, but I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna like the numbers, so if I have to keep it, well, I'm cool with that.
