Water buffalo will never be used, that name came about many years back when suzuki built and sold their firt water cooled street bike. It was a complete flop, and you might see one in a museum.
The "Water Buffalo" was the Suzuki GT750 triple, two-stroke, water-cooled oddity. It is sought after by collectors, but as you say aren't in plentiful supply today. Haven't seen one on the road in decades. It was actually a very good bike put on the market in 1972 to counter the Honda CB750. I wanted one at the time, but couldn't afford it, and settled for a GT380. Rode it 25k miles without any engine work.
I remember a bike shopin Swansea,Wales back when I was stationed there in 1975 had a water buffalo racing bike: push to start, half fairing, clip ons, no fenders, that thing was wild. I saw a nicely restored purple one on ebay a while back, Id love to own one.Youd be suprised how nice some of those old jap bikes look now. I had a GT250 (a six speed no less!) and a GS750 once, great bikes. I couldn't afford to look at a Harley back then.
I have herd the 08's will have a bigger gas tank and ABS. I was told this by my sales rep (who sells bikes to factory guys) from Milwaukee area.He alsotold me 2 months before the 07's came out that HD was throwing in 6 speeds and 96 ci motors?
As many of you, I remember the Kaw Triples and the Suzuki GT750 as new leading edge bikes at the time. The Suzuki was not very pretty to me but the nostalgia in seeing one now is great. My neighbour picked up a GT750 about 2 months ago and is in the process of restoring it. Liquid cooling on a 2 cycle was a great way to get power out of them.
"How do rumors get started, their started by the jealous people..." Can't remember who sings that song, or the title? Was a song in the 80's. Everytime I see the word "rumors", I break out in song. LOL

Thats what I was told
he'd better be careful. if corporate found out he was 'leaking' information early, he could be in a world of hurt.
