Help With Headlight Adjustment

Default Help With Headlight Adjustment

So I bought a 03 Ultra Classic Electra Glide it has been lowered and I can not adjust the headlight up high enough. Need help from you all out there.

Ok, so have you tried the adjustment screw ?
We do have to start from someplace dont we?

Yes the screws have no more adjustment

If you have no more adjustment.tighten both left and right adjustment screw in equally.Then you'll have some adjustment up top.

Never tried it myself but was told that would do the trick.Hope it works for you.

Pull the mounting bucket loose from the fairing and shim the lower screws with small washers.

Yeah the shim idea came to mind for me as well.


I'm just wondering how much this bike was lowered? There's typically quite a bit of adjustment on the headlight I thought, how much lowering does it take to run out of adjustment?

Check to see if the bulb is seated correctly or even change the bulb to see if its centered in the reflector before you start any surgery. If the bike is lowered front and back, should be fairly close to parallel to the road yet.
