I decided I'd try this here in hopes of getting some more info on the topic.
Currently I am running a Rush 7017HO with the Big Louie slip ons on my '16 FLTRU with an FP3. I am really contemplating switching to a 2-1 system. I've got a few systems I'm interested in, Rush Wrath, V&H ProPipe, Dragos Dragula 2, are at the top of the list. I'm looking for something that gives that good deep rumble, with the gains that come with it and something that doesn't make your ears bleed at highway speeds.
TIA for the suggestions. Share some pics or sound files of your systems. YouTube is hard to get a feel of sound from.
I'm running the Jackpot 2-1 Road and Track on my 16 SG. It's got a nice rumble to it while idling, whack the throttle and it's pretty loud. Just cruising around you know it's there, but it's not overpowering by any means.
I'm running the V&H Pro Pipe with standard baffle. At first, I liked the sound. All my buddies said they liked the sound, too. Then, I went on an 800 mile trip a few months ago. With the stereo playing, they didn't bother me too much. With the stereo off, the steady drone started getting to me. So, when I got back, I re-wrapped the baffles using some 6 oz. fiberglass cloth tape. That seems to have quieted them some, but I haven't been on any trips since, so there's that. I stopped by D&D at a rally last year, listened to their pipes and, like you, I didn't like the tinny sound, either. Beautiful pipes though and those that have them love them.

Thanks for your response. I not 100% sold on swapping just yet, but if I did, I believe these 3 would be in my decision range. I may just change out my baffles on the Big Louies and see what that does for me 1st, sure would be cheaper. BTW, when are you doing your cams? I saw you posted on another thread about them, I'd like to see and hear the outcome or lend a hand if you need it!
I am running the Dragos Dragula 2. I like the sound and the look.
I am running a 114 motor with high compression and agressive cams.
and it is still not too loud.

I run the dragula as well. Plenty loud when you grab a handful but no annoying drone at cruising speeds. My better half runs the d&d with perforated wrapped baffle, less tinny but don't like the constant drone. Also can't beat the rumble of the dragula on decel.

Did you happen to do a youtube video? I saw 1 a couple days back that showed a his/hers with those combos.
