That's one full hour plus 30 additional minutes for those who don't know what one and one half hour means. Also, my bike doesn't have ABS. And lastly, I don't want to do the job myself, but I don't want to get screwed by the dealer either if other dealers are only charging for thirty minutes of labor. At $90/hr. for labor, I want to pay what I should pay for the job.
Actually, your original post wasn't clear which is why you are getting all this. You said "one a half hour". Not one and a half. It could be a typo meaning a half hour...no one knows but you. Proofreading is key on forums if you ask a question where you need a specific answer. Proofreading means to recheck your writing and make sure it says what you want it to say. But of course you knew that...

Never had the dealer do mine so no first hand experience. Reading on the forums ive seen people post between $70-$120 for the service. If that's right the you've been quoted a higher than average price.
Id suggest calling a couple of other dealers and a couple of Indys to see how they compare to what you've already been quoted.

Yep, you were crystal clear.

Now, calm down - people are just working with what you gave them to try to help you.

OK, my apologies to all. I see the typo that I made originally, so my bad. I'm a 70-year-old grumpy old man who flies off the handle much too often according to my patient wife. I guess I'm surprised that the brake fluid needs to be replaced in the first place. I've owned cars for 55 years and never replaced the brake fluid in any of them. I've had this bike since it was new and this is the first time a brake fluid flush has been mentioned. I guess I'm a little leery of the need for it. BTW, I read this post three times and, hopefully, it has no typos.

Kudos to the man who owns up to his oversight.

To the OP, say no more - we've all been there.

As to the original question, yes, your bike's brake fluid should be flushed on your bike at least every two years. So, they aren't trying to fleece you.

Man, I wish our newest generation stood up and raised their hand like you did. Nicely done!!

One and half hours seems a bit much to me. But like someone else said, they have to test ride it for 45 minutes to make sure the brakes work when they're finished...

Look dude, by the time you gather up all of your tools and necessary materials, do the job, clean up and test ride (for functionality) an hour and a half (translated = 1.5 hours) is not too excessive.

Now, I do my own as so many above have posted and although I'm only 60 years of age I hope to still be doing it (haha) when I'm 70.

If you don't want to invest the little bit of time and tools to do it yourself then pay the man for the 1.5 hours labor.
