I am currently working on a stereo project on my 2004 road king. I am installing an amp.
I am wirng the power to the battery, my plan is to wire the ground under the seat where I have 2 grounding bolts, the remote wire will be tapping into the orange/white wire so all of that is fine.
I am aware of the dead end accessory Deutsche connector by the battery but I have another dead end one I am wondering if someone can tell me what its for. It is under the right side cover (standing over bike) it has some various green wires going into it and has a holder to hold the dead end plug in place.
The one under the seat, is it 1 wire or 4 wires? If it's just 1 wire then it's a B+ wire, meaning it's a 12V unswitched, unfused hot wire.
The one in the side cover, if it's the accessory connector should have 4 wires. One is 12V on with the ignition switch, one is 12V through the accessory switch, one is a brake light lead and the last is ground. Sorry, don't know wire colors.
