I've used RV and motorcycle towing for some time. I had "Good Sam" for a while. When I needed them, there was always some "excuse". Now with AAA, I get fast service every time. That isn't often fortunately. The motorcycle addition is one of the best values in motorcycling.

So, if you don't live in one of these states/territories, you cannot add this rider to your AAA coverage....or did I miss something....
Strange... perhaps that MN specific AAA website is not worded correctly? I wouldn't think it's only available in those states... that would not make sense.
The below information is from the California AAA website, that says coverage is nationwide and into Canada.

http://www.calif.aaa.com/home/automo...d-trailer.html

Expand your roadside assistance coverage
With a AAA membership, you already receive lockout/locksmith assistance and emergency fuel delivery for your RV and motorcycle. For only $37 more per household per membership year you will enjoy:
RV and motorcycle tow benefits up to 100 driving miles
A total of four RV or motorcycle towing or RV tire change service calls per household, each membership year (these calls are in addition to the four roadside assistance calls each cardholder receives per membership year)
Applies to RVs, recreational trailers or motorcycles you own, borrow or rent
Benefits extend across the U.S. and Canada
What vehicles are covered?
Vehicles eligible for our optional RV and motorcycle towing and RV tire change service include:

Motorcycles licensed for highway use
Motor homes
Camper vans
Cab-over campers
Camping trailers
Fifth-wheel trailers
Boat trailers
Personal watercraft trailers
ATV trailers
Utility trailers carrying recreational vehicles or equipment
Empty horse trailers
To add RV and motorcycle towing and RV tire change service online, log in to Manage My Account. Alternatively you can call 1-800-222-8794 or visit your local Auto Club branch.

For more information, please see the Member Guide, available at all AAA branches.

I've never had to use AAA for motorcycle towing (knock on wood). I did use HOG once, and the guy who came out had a flat bed, but admitted he had never towed a motorcycle before, I had to help anchor the bike down or it would've been bad.

For those who have the Classic AAA membership and want to upgrade or have upgraded to RV/Motorcycle, make note that the 100 miles is ONLY for the RV or motorcycle. The 100 miles towing does not extend to your other cars; you need to also upgrade your Classic to a Plus membership to get the 100 miles for your other vehicles.

Ask me how I know. I've taken care of that since lol.

Just get the AAA Premier Membership with RV/Motorcycle and be done with it. I am up for renewal in a few weeks $141 bucks. Sounds expensive, it is until you have to use it. It is like an insurance policy. You hate paying for it, then you are glad you have it when needed. AAA Premier, 200 miles auto tow/100 mile, RV/Motorcycle tow, and a bunch of other bennies.

Thanks for reminding me. I've been meaning to add bike towing to my AAA account now for a few months. MY brother has it...
Was on a ride with my brother and his son this summer back from Americade. My nephew picked up a screw in his tire, flattening it, just about 100 miles from home. Tow truck was there within 40 mins. The driver was meticulous in getting the bike on the flatbed and strapping it down.

Those areas have a motorcycle only add-on for that price. Other areas have it at a different price. Other areas have it as a part of the RV package, or boat package, or combination boat/rv package. It varies, depending on the region.

As well towing distances and number of tows.

The one occasion I had to need a tow truck, I specified what the bike was, so they sent a tilting flatbed. The guy had not much to work with, so I had to help every step of the way, and tell him where to NOT tie the bike down from. Anyway, had less than ten miles to home. Got a bill in the mail for over three hundred dollars.. I sent them a bill for my services in loading and unloading my bike. I charged them two fifty, as I'm not gonna work cheap for them. Never heard anything back, and that's been about seven years ago. I know I'll never call them again for anything. They had said, sure, we haul bikes all the time. Yeah, sure they do. So, be careful who you call, if you love your bike as much as I do mine.

This is what I have, note the unlimited benefit.

Only issue to me is, no hotel discounts and such like AAA has everywhere.

I got it for touring. Feared needing a tow in the middle of nowhere and getting socked for hundreds of dollars.

I've used AAA towing for my '04 Vette and my '03 Heritage. Both times they were prompt, the dispatcher kept me informed of the tow ETA (longest wait was 40 min).

Both drivers treated my vehicles like gold (OK, I was hovering a little) and certainly knew what they were doing.....

With Premier you get 200 miles for any vehicle once per year. Then goes to max of 100 miles for 3 more times per year.
