We use AAA as well. However, wait times are almost always longer than 30 minutes. Usually 60-90 minutes.
They've always been good with the vehicles though.

I used AAA a few weeks ago. The tow truck was there about 45 minutes after I hung up, but the person on the phone took 30 minutes to figure out where I was, so it was really an hour and fifteen minutes. Turns out that when I told her I was at "Big League Haircuts", she spelled it "Leege".

Driver was very friendly. My only concern was that he wanted to tie it down by the handlebars. But I expressed my concern and he then chose better tie-down locations.

He was a AAA employee, and he said told me "good luck" if they have to use a contractor. According to him the contractors get paid the same whether it's a car or a bike, but since bikes take so much longer, the contractors will claim they are unavailable.

AAA here too.
Wouldn't use anyone else.

Only reason I am a H O G member is I get a 18 % discount on my cell bill from my provider AT & T which pays for itself and then starts paying me back by having the membership.

I have AAA RV.
Used it twice within two months last summer and had never used it before in over 10 years. the first took about an hour; the second took three hours when it was over 90 degrees. My GF and I sat on the curb in the shade behind a gas station waiting even after several calls.

What I found out was while there are many towing companies not all have a flat bed and if you happen to call when it's being used, you are screwed. I also found that a towing company with a flat bed may not want the call due to its time or day and then call another company to do it who may be pretty far away.
I'm sticking with AAA since the drivers all say it pays better than other services so that gives the best chance of a response.
AAA RV has a long distance towing range too which might come in handy although both of these flats were within 5 miles or home. Probably worked against me too.

I now have Ride On in my tires.

So AAA towes bikes? which policy do you have? annual cost? what is the mileage limitation?

I would like AAA as there's so many 10% discounts whrever I travel but for bike towing it didn't look promising when I researched years ago.

I carry Allstate RV Roadhelp which has unlimited towing, but it has little other benefits on the road so would prefer AAA if there were a decent plan for a bike.

Also, does your 'bike' plan also cover your cars etc? As in MN 1/2 our year is winter, so, AAA would be useful then.

I have in the past, multiple times. Its scope wasn't anywhere near RV Roadhelp thru Allstate, hence my question.

"Motorcycle roadside service is currently available for all AAA Members residing in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Puerto Rico.*"

http://mn-ia.aaa.com/Membership/Moto...aspx?zip=55101

So, if you don't live in one of these states/territories, you cannot add this rider to your AAA coverage....or did I miss something....
