i have an 07 rkc with a sundowner that i purchased from a member awsome seat very comfy.only one problem. i feel that it pushes me to far forward towards the tank. i have finally got a couple of long rides in and think its time for a change. has any one else had this problem. any suggestions for a seat that will move me back about 2 or 3 inches?
hey all i wanted to say thanks to all and let everyone know that i have dropped off the seat at alligator bobs www.alligatorbobs.com for some modification bob is going to put in a gel pad and shave off as much as he can to push me back as far as he can i will keep you updated
Strange, i have a road king custom and felt it moved me back slightly...I asked your question before i bought mine, some people said back, some said forward and some said about the same. I think it more or less falls into a personal comfort level in how you feel the seat moved you..
Allen will take care of it for you, and will be a lot cheaper than a new seat. He will also make it a lot more comfortable for you, I hear. I have a stock seat, and only the one. So until I buy me a second seat (solo), I will wait until winter to get the original seat modified.
I feel the same way. I bought the sundowner for my 07 RK and while comfortable, it pushed me forward an inch or 2 so I feel like I'm on the tank and on top of the floorboards. I'll be heading to a rally in a couple weeks at lake george, ny, and will check out mustang, corbin and saddlemen. I'm pretty sure that the corbin seat will lower and push you back a couple inches. I'm also considering mean city cycles which is so highly recommended in this forum.
