Does it need maps if you autotune? I bought an FP3 for my '15, but never installed it. In fact its still in sealed package. Traded that bike in on '17 CVO and don't know if the CVO by nature has a better tune than what the FP3 could offer. No experience with the FP3

Not sure, I would think you could upload the map in the bike and work with that. Autotune it or modify what is there.
Keep this in mind though, once you connect the Fuel Pak to the bike it's married to that bike and can't be used on anything else for tuning.
It can be connected to any bike and read sensor data as well as trouble codes but that's it.
