I just put a set of SE slip-ons on my 04 EGC and it is barley louder than the stockers, will they get any louder with time or can the baffles be tampered with to improve sound ? ? ? I like the mellow sound but would like it a little bit louder.

I know this is not what you want to hear........ Sell them on Ebay and get yourself a pair of Rush 1.75 mufflers. They got the sound you are looking for.
The S/E's suck-you should have researched them here first. Good news is on Ebay they're sure to be sold. Now on the Rush 1.75 like the Bryan (above post) and I have- I just put these on yesterday with the S/E air and dynojet 3 and it does breathe betterand run easier and better. I don't know how much I like the sound yet though. I have to hear my bike while someone else rides it to post a true opinion. Might be a little muddy for me I'm not sure. Good thing though is at cruising speed I can hear the stereo and for me thats important for long rides. 2 1/4 Rush's probably sound nicer but for me would be too loud and too big of a pipe knocks out low end torque. These bikes a little slow for me but I'm getting used to being a middle aged biker--I guess??? I miss my 1200 Sportster for quick adreniline bursts though.
