There are two notches along the bottom edge of the lense. You caninsert a small screw driver (or something similar) in between the fairing and the lense and gently lift on the tab that on the lense that goes into the fairing and latches the lense on.

BE CAREFUL not to scratch or chip the paint on the fairing! You can insulate the tool with a rag or towel so you are not prying against the paint. It's really not that difficult, once you see how the latch works.

Just be patient with it. Once the two latched on the bottom are loose, to top will pull out.

I found that putting it back on is much tougher than taking it off. I really had to give it a good pop to snap back in.

I've had mine off and on many times. One reader here had a devil of a time with his, and found that there was some paint build-up in the slots. After my repaint, I took his advice and very carefully sanded the slots with a very small flat file I have. One could use an emery board gently as well.

A popsicle stick works great as a tool to pop the lens, BTW......won't mar the paint. The first time is always the hardest...........as the man said, be patient.
