OK - I admit, newbie to Road Glides - changing my EG to a RG - I know that the outer fairing must hang on the hooks... my question is - with the headlight installed, how do you get the fairing over and onto the hooks... It appears to be a "blind" hook??? I was trying this and was having trouble,,, then I removed the headlight and it was a breeze - and I could then plug the headlight in and just "snap" in place - So what am I NOT doing right???
Not a thing! It takes some practice. I've seen posts on this subject in the past......and the fella that wrote about it said that after the second or third time, it gets easy. WHy something so simple can be so quirky.....beats me. Probably helps a lot to get the bike level........I've seen techs at the dealer wiggle them on pretty quickly. You'll get it.
