How do you get the outer fairing back on a Road Glide???
I've been trying for an hour to get the damn outer fairing back on. I know I need to get the notches on the outer fairing over the hooks on the inner but can't seem to get it[:@][:@][:@] Took offthe windshield too so I could see a little better but still can't get it.
What's the trick??? They must pay the assembly guy 150K to do that all day at the plant!!
RE: How do get the outer fairing back on a Road Glide
Look at your outer fairing. The headlight has some green little clasps that push in. Push em in and remove the headlight from the fairing. Once it is removed you will be able to see where the fairing lines up to the inner. Hold it up and you can stab the outer to the inner while looking thru the hole the headlight assembly fits in. Once on then you line up the 3 green prongs from the headlight and kinda just push and it will pop back on.

No, once you realize that you can actually see what you are doing if you remove the headlight you will want to kick yourself. I have had mine off several times.
