I just purchased an 02 RK classic last week. Its extremely comfortable, but I am not sure if it is the original seat, or an aftermarket. Mainly, I am just looking to see who made it, not looking to replace it. I just picked up all the service papers and want to see what else was upgraded. I could have asked at the dealership, but, honestly, I forgot.
Anyway, here is a pic. If anyone can identify it, I would appreciate it.
Just as an update, I went on Thursday to try to swap out a seat to get the bike a little lower (I have a short inseam). I put on a low forward HD seat. It didnt drop me any, just pushed me up into the tank. And, it was uncomfortable. I went back to the dealer today, to see if I could return it, which I did (for store credit, which was fine, as I ordered shorter shocks instead). We got to talking about the seat.
One guy there seems to think is a RK Classic Custom seat. Given that, with the superlow seat I tried, I didnt lose any height, I am inclined to believe its a seat off one of them, but, I have looked for the design of it-those metal bars-and cannot seem to find a single picture anywhere with it.
Regardless, I am sticking with this saddle, as its VERY comfy. I am just dropping the shocks 1.5", and that should put my feet flat.
