Default Daytona update

excuse this if someone else has already posted,
went for a ride through Volusia County today.

The Cabbage Patch is busting a nut getting tents up, but will be ready on Thursday.

Closer to to the coast damage is heavier: many places don't have power yet. If you are staying in a motel on A1A that your not familiar with it may be a challenge to find it as many signs have been destroyed.

Gas Station fuel canopies have been torn off along with many rooftops. Anything that wasn't recently built has some kind of damage.

Most at of the traffic lights are out too, the one at the top of main st was working but the next working one was on the other side of the inter coastal.

Some me buildings on main st still have sandbags in front of the doors. It looked like almost every building had some kind of damage.

Definitely call ahead if planning to stay in the A1A area.

As as my wife said to me: "don't worry, they aren't going to miss a chance to take your money!"

I tend to agree!

Good info there, I didn't even think about bike week and the hurricane.

I'm not attending, but hope all that do can get to their destination.

A1A in Flagler Beach & St Augustine took a serious beating. Road caved in & some neighborhoods flooded. Daytona & the Ormond Strip should be ready for Biketoberfest.

Long time since I last went, but I can imagine the area you mention. Hope they can recover soon.

Flaggler beach is pretty much devastated, A1A is gone in of the areas, I can't imagine what it will take to get it fixed, years of work I'd say.
