Yea. I found a new old stock one at my local dealer, for 13 bucks. I'm glad that's all it was. Now I'm thinking about the road glide deflectors that fit up on the crash bar in front of the tank. Maybe somebody that has those will chime in with a review.
I had good luck on my Road King with the windshield on with the 'fangs' that mount on the forks. Seems like I could smoke a little smoke while riding at 60. You have to get used to the look, though.

I have the road glide deflectors that mount to the tank bolts and crash bars, gads deflectors and his triple tree deflector.
I rode 300 miles yesterday at speeds from a crawl to 75 on the interstate. I don't have lower fairings and have no head buffeting.
Probably will not help your beard situation but it makes a road glide without lowers more enjoyable.
