Zen...for my buddies bike. He is running stock right now but we are gonna end that ****. Here is my take on it, stock sucks..but I don't know the cfm. Most aftermarket air cleaners will provide engine with enough air as it needs although they have the ability to provide different CFM if allowed...but stage 1 or 2 isn't going to pull enough cfm to make it an issue. I would wonder with the cleaner off what cfm the throttle body limits the engine too..

Cool. Reason I ask is doing just the filter ain't gonna do any good unless your buddy has a Rushmore bike. A Stage I kit, or similar non-HD, replaces the backing plate that allows more air for intake, but you knew that already.

Yes, throttle body, heads, etc. More than enough air for Stage 1.

In fact competent tuners will tell you that with larger bore, ported heads a ported throttle body will only get you about 2 HP

Picked up some exhaust off the forum, a big sucker, and working on a tuner for him. he likes the 90° air cleaner I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something here since I'm not spending my money
