Couple guys in our riding group switched to RGUs within this past year. They love them, but do have one major complaint ......... the glare off of the infotainment screen! Apparently the distance from the rider and angle of the screen is perfect for reflecting the sun right into the rider's eyes!

As most members would say, test ride both and then decide. Both have their pro's and con's. I wanted a RGU, just couldnt afford the payments. Found the Limited that I really liked, it is used but still in great shape. After being on it for a few miles, I fell in love with it. Anyway, YRMV

Thanks for the input y'all.

Yea, I thought it was odd that the pods wouldn't contain speakers. But when you buy the TP separately, it doesn't contain speakers. I was thinking okay, they got the RGU $700 cheaper by skimping on 2 speakers and heated grips. Weird, but okay... Glad to hear it is just a typo.

Noted.

I didn't think about the angle of the screen on the RGU creating a glare. I'll need to look at that on my next test ride. Have they found a way to remedy the glare?

I did test ride both and plan to do so again before making my final decision. Right now, I am having the problem where I am so excited about a new bike that I might overlook something. Trying to take a step back and not impulse buy. I don't want to buy the bike and then 2 months later think "****, if I had realized THIS, I wouldn't have gotten this bike." Know what I mean?

Doesn't the RG sit lower than the UL, therefore less ride quality

UL has a glossy black inner fairing, the RGU has flat black inner fairing.

Road Glide does: 12" shocks

Road Glide Ultra has 13" shocks, same as the Ultra Limited.

Not sure if buffeting is caused from the windscreen being too short or too tall, but I would imagine too tall.

Sorry, not buying this "bit like a bobble head doll". The buffeting is greatly decreased on the newer bikes, no way you had buffeting this extreme.

I test rode a 2017 SG a few weeks back and the buffeting was worse on it than on my Road King (I went down the same stretch of highway on both). Granted, I do not know if the center vent was open or not, nor do I know how to open it, so that may have contributed to it. And I rode a Street Glide while this discussion is between an Ultra Limited and Road Glide Ultra, so there is that difference as well. I am looking to take both of these for a test this weekend at my local dealer to see what differences there are.

Didn't you notice that very short 4" screen on the Street Glide?
It is much more about looking cool, than any function.
Was the first thing I changed on my previous Street Glide.

It is nothing like the windshield on the Ultra or your Road King.
