Default Help With Premium Adjustable Shocks

I've been kinda been shopping around for a set of premium adjustable shocks but have some confusion. I look on forums, facebook and ebay. I see two different versions of the 12" on all that are being sold as touring shocks. Can anyone help me out by posting a picture of their premium shocks? I know the 1200T also has a version of a hand adjustable shock. I just don't want to end up with the wrong shocks and have to go through the hassle of returning them.
Any help would be appreciated.

For the 12" version for touring bikes:
Premium Ride Hand-Adjustable Touring Shocks - Low-Profile
Part Number 54000091

For the 13" version of the same shocks:
Premium Ride Hand-Adjustable Touring Shocks - Standard-Height
Part Number 54000008

Both of them look like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/00-16-Harley...hX~sFx&vxp=mtr
http://www.ebay.com/itm/E87-2014-Har...JYB6zQ&vxp=mtr

These are a couple examples. Both are advertised as 12" premium hand adjustable shocks. But the appearance is totally different. Am I right to assume some are trying to sell the 1200t shocks as full size touring shocks? Makes me a little skeptical looking at these on ebay and what I see on forums and facebook.

always go by the part number on the shock

some do not know what they have or are selling

and yes, you can return thru the paypal dispute...but are still on the hook for shipping both ways

I have the 13's and they are a nice improvement

The reason I don't want to get stuck with the wrong shocks. I know there are a few ebay sellers that can be pretty shady. Why I asked for pictures of actual shocks on bikes. Particularly right side. I know Harley and others "stock" pictures can leave a lot to be desired when comparing.

They are both correct.
The ones from Fossil-fuel were introduced for the 2016 model year and have the less tightly wound spring on one shock, probably to address the complaints of rough ride.
You are going to bottom out with a 12 inch shock, I would look into the 13 inch version, maybe with a lowering block if you need it, might have to space your bags out a bit for clearance. There are aftermarket shocks with more travel too, probably around $600.

You can bottom out with 12s or 13s...I've only bottomed out once with the 12s and it was 2 up loaded out with the tour pak on a big bump I didn't see until it was too late. 13s are gonna be hard to find used until more 17s get out on the road and people start swapping them out.

Think I'll wait and look for some 13". Don't want the RK any lower. Too many 12" floating around anyway to really know what you are getting.

I'm putting the Progressive 944 touring shocks on mine, everything I read gives them great reviews.

There is also a 12in set with part #s 54000081 & 54000082. If you google the part # you will get your answer. I ran the 944s and even with the heavy springs I could bottom out the shocks with ease solo!
