I have the ESP 7 year plan ($1850) on my TriGlide and had one on my last 4 Harleys. In each instance I've come out ahead due to all the mechanical issues I've had over the years. They are transferable to the next bike.
I also have a PPM plan, $2400 for 4 years/unlimited miles. I ride 12K~15K a year. I have saved more money then I can count.
Plus I save on any cost increases over the next 4 years (inevitable), a free loaner (dealer is 47 miles away), my choice of fluids (Amsoil), bike wash(all dealers do that now don't they?), priority service scheduling, free battery at end of contract. Non trike models get a free tire instead of a battery.
Now if I loose my job, I can ride worry free for the next 4 years.
