I think for anything to be collectible, it should be desirable, rare (low production) and different. I see people taking CVO models and doing big wheels, and custom tins and so forth. Why not take a stock bike and do this? To me, that is throwing money away. The only Rushmores I see as desirable are all stock, low milage, customer factory paint model CVO's. I can see someone stashing one away, taking out for a couple rides a year, having a beater for other occasions. Not many of us can afford this. To each his own though.
