I live in the Dallas/Plano area and was wondering if anyone knows a place around this area that does modifications on motorcycle seats? I don't mind the stock seat I have on the ultra if it would just put me back a couple of inches so thinking if i could find a place to take some foam out, that may fix my issue.
Contact mean city cycles in NC. They will schedule your seat mod so you only have to.ship it to arrive in time for the mod. Mods take.one day seat is shipped no later than the next.day. total down time about 9-10 days. Great work.
I sent mine off to Mean City on advice from here. I honestly can't tell a difference over stock. I did the memory foam mod, my a$$ still falls asleep after about an hour.

I did the memory foam and tailbone mod on my 2016 SGS and having put about a 1,000 miles on the seat mod,I couldn't be more pleased with the work Mean City Cycles did on my seat.
I had the Double Decker that they offer and was not impressed.
My impression of it was mehhh
Been running the HD Hammock rider only version and never looked back.

IMHO if you want your seat modified to fit you, you have to be present.
When I had mine done they had to see me on the bike and in riding position.
They made 1st cuts and I had to get back on, took 3 times before they had something for me to take for a test ride to see if I was happy with it.
Then we moved on to the cover issues.
If they make a lot of cuts you will most likely have to recover the seat (or at least the panel the cuts were made in).
Mine cost a lot more than the original quote, but my seat rocks.
