i have two similar bags.......one each on my two baggers
one IS a saddleman and has done exactly as yours. the material it is constructed of seems destined to buckle and warp.
i bought another brand off Amazon, cheaper, soon after purchasing the Saddleman brand. It has NOT buckled or warped. the backing material is more solid like a piece of thin solid wood rather than Saddlemans leather !
the Saddleman bag IS better made in the bag area but lacking in the stiff upright mounting area.
i am on the verge of gluing something firmer to the Saddleman bag to eliminate the buckling as soon as winter weather hits here in the northeast.
neither bag was rain soaked. both bags have been baked in 100 degree sun for several years off and on.
i'll be interested to see what Saddleman says about the ripples.
In my e-mail i didnt ask for anything just if they had a repair option for this i could do myself - as it looks like a common complaint maybe they can do something - will give them till mid week to respond i have already received what they call a support ticket number , As it is the weekend i can wait as insurance expired friday bike is parked till spring
