If you're not having issues button her back up and be happy about it. IPB and comps are the biggest issues. From what i can see the adjuster looks fine. 45k on my 09 was about the same. Never had an issue with it. The 10 i ditched the comp at 15k you would know it if you had an issue.

I'd try to get the shoe away from the chain and have a look- see hw it is wearing.

I've replaced 2 shoes on evos at about 50K- went with hayden for those.

After reading this thread & seeing the pic i just can't resist asking a few question.

Your prim case looks too squeaky clean for 45k+ miles which leads me to the following questions.

1) After removing the outer prim case did you clean out primary area & components in the primary before taking the pick?

I ask that because it looks dry as a bone with absolutely no sign of oil residue at all to be seen dripping off any of the primary case components in the pic which leads me to think you cleaned the oil residue etc from all the components in the prim case prior to taking the pic which would explain why it looks so clean & dry of any oil residue.

I change the prim case oil @ 5k miles on my bike and when i had outer prim cover off @ only 10k miles on my 09 flhtcu it wasn't near as clean as your as your looks to be at over 4x more miles then mine had when i removed the outer prim case.

So with that said i gotta ask did you clean the oil out of the prim case area & components prior to talking the pic or not?

2) At what mileage have you changed the prim case oil @ over the past 45k miles?

3) Do you use primary case specific oil in the prim case?

4) What mfg & grade oil do you use in the prim case?

Thanks...Scott

I say it has been cleaned. I've had mine off several times and there should be primary oil either dripping or some residue oil left on some of those inner primary bolt heads as you said. Look at the inner primary bolt head right next to the comp, it looks brand new.

Still, the primary area looks good, but no telling what the comp ramps look like or the tensioner shoe.

Looks fine, put new gasket, fill her up ready to ride in the spring, you'll be good for another 10000 miles if you want.
