I was thiking since its winter that I would try and figure out how much I was going to spend on the bike and made a little list of things I wanted. The first thing would be a GPS(ya I know it has one but for 200 bucks for the maps I can buy a Garmin that I can use in the car also.). But that can wait. The second thing was a way to jump start the bike if I ever had a dead battery without taking off the seat. I have a 2015 Ultra Limited. Anyone think of a way to do this? And do it clean?
I carry a small micro battery supply.
"Whistler Jump and Go."
(Video on Youtube.)
Also have another brand but don't remember the company because it's in the TP and bike is stored.
One in the truck, one in the bike.
Very small. About the size of the Harley P&A book, only lighter.
Doesn't take up much room
Both are capable of starting cars so a bike is no problem.
Cables???
To jump with cables, you'd need a another car or bike.
With the portable battery packs, you can get started no matter where you are.
All by yourself!
I always keep a lithium jump pack on my bike along with all my trucks and cars. They are the best thing ever invented. I have a variety of them from the antigravity xp10, and a few cobra jump packs. I also have one i just bought from wallmart about a month ago, and it seems to be doing good so far. As of rite now the cobra pack is my favorite as far as size and jumping power. I have let it sit for a year straight without charging it and when needed it does it job.
I also made a extension cable that stays under seat and plugs into the jump pack direct. Its nice because you dont need to diss assemble your bike when you need it. I already had the connectors they use for other hobbies that i am into. Along with some 6mm german hi-strand count silicone jacketed wire.
I carry a small jump starter, and a small set of Yuosa jumper cables.
Connect to hot post on starter and a grounded bolt.
Go ahead, get familiar with the starter hot post under the rubber boot, it might come in handy some day.
