I know that the air temp gauge is inaccurate, but I'd like it if all of the gauges were working. Any idea why mine might not be registering?? The gauge light works but the needle doesn't move. Any help would be appreciated because I have the bike apart right now.

Try tapping on the face with your finger. Tap pretty hard. I have a HD oil temp gage and that is what I have to do at time to get it to start registering off of zero after I start it up.

Alright- I took the two plugs off of the back of the gauge- one's for the light and the other is for the the gauge itself. After switching the power onI took my voltmeter to the three pronged plug tosee what I had running through itfor voltage. One wire read just under twelve and the other read nothing. I'm guessing that this isair temp sending unit reading zero.The one reading zero is a blue wire with a purple stripe. Anyoneknowanything about this wire (sending unit-etc.)

It's probably the gauge only 2 parts the guage and the thermister I agree replace it with a oil temp guage you probably dont have a silver faced guage but pay the shiping and you can have mine.
