I purchased the covers and returned them since they seemed to be poorly made and not as soft as using a cotton towel.
Look at the below Fix My Hog video to see what they use. https://www.fixmyhog.com/video/harle...emoval-009560/
Been using large sheets such as old bedding for decades, so I'm not about to change. They can be folded several ways and jammed into/around stuff to stop them sliding or falling off. Just take the sheets off the spare bed....
Yep, I use both all the time. They've saved me too. They don't move around and the little pockets on the tank cover are very handy. They do not scratch the clear coat.
my "motorycle covers" in the garage are old bed sheets
my spotlight covers ( when removing fairing) are tube socks.
you can over think it and over pay...but imagine using the saved money to pay off a debt or put towards another bike...or a set of tires...or motel rooms on the way to Sturgis.
To find your own post...my chrome browser on a mac shows a green check box next to any thread which I have posted, east to scan pages.
for an old post you can do an advanced search and enter your own user name in the box
I have & use both the HD covers... work well & no issues.
Like everything HD, including the bike they cover, they're over priced. Goes with the territory.

I picked up a couple of moving blankets at the local Harbor Freight. I place one on the floor to set saddle bags etc on. I use the other to cover what needs covered. This has worked well for me and it didn't cost much.
I also keep Harbor Freight moving blankets around for that very thing. With a coupon you can get the smaller on e for 2 or 3 bucks and they are the perfect size for what you need.
