Default Corbin Classic Solo

I am considering the Corbin Classic Solo for my 17 RGS but really have no idea if it will work for me. I am 5'8" tall with a 30" inseam. Had a stock 16 seat that had been modified by MCC. I have read on the Corbin site that the Classic Close moves you like 2" forward and I am comfortable right where I sit now, I just want to be lower and have the solo with back rest. Hate to throw that much dough at it and then have to have it changed...your thoughts?

I have the Classic Solo on my Heritage and didn't notice any change in position. What I did notice was after a 2500 mile break in I've never had a more comfy mile eating seat.

I ordered a Corbin classic solo with an oval back backrest last week... for my '17 SGS.

I should have it in on Wednesday. The sales rep on the phone said it might lower me just a fraction of an inch but it shouldn't move me back or forward.

Just don't order the Close version. As far as sitting you lower, you would probably need to include that information when you order it. Mine is "stock" and it definitely did not sit me lower than the stock Harley touring or the stock Street Glide seats I used before the Corbin Classic Solo I have now.

I have a Corbin close solo for my 04 RK. The seat pocket is several inches back from the Harley reach seat. It is in fact right where the stock seat bucket is. As such, I cannot recommend it for smurfs like you and I.

Perhaps the later year versions are better. Though I know of no reason to believe so.

I've enjoyed a Corbin for many years. Sounds as if it is worth calling them to discuss what you would like.

You cannot go wrong with a Corbin seat. As has been suggested, give them a call and discuss your needs and let them tell you what you need.
