The Terry Components starters require a spacer for the oil fill spout but I have no problems installing that as well if they will be better in the long run than the all ***** starter.

NP!

Please dont forget to post a followup here in this same thread on how the new battery, hvy duty battery cables & hi trq starter work out on your hi 10.5 compression motor.

Suggestion, with 10.5 compression that will likely create more engine heat in summer cond it would also be a good idea to install (if haven't already done so) an oil cooler with elec cooling fans (Ultracool oil cooler) & Wards cooling fans both at the same time like i did on my 2009 FLHTCU a few yrs ago.

An oil cooler without elec cooling fans is much less efficient (just about useless!) due to lack of airflow when sitting still @ stoplights in 90deg f summer heat and or when @ slower road speed in slow moving traffic.

Both those cooling mods working together as a hi perf cooling team reduced oil temp a whopping 50deg f in 90= deg f summer heat which was huge improvement in overall engine perf & rider comfort .
And keep in mind its the oils job to also cool the motor by removing heat from it so when oil temp is reduced 50deg f in summer heat engine temp is also significantly reduced @ the same time too.

The 50deg f reduction in oil temp in summer cond my HD's motor got stopped the detonation it used to have at times under load ,increased oil pressure a solid 10-12psi @ idle & cruise too, made valvetrain quieter, less heat from motor hitting riders, motor now retains most of the pwr/trq & crisp throttle response it used to always loose in warmer summer cond, and more.

Good luck.

Scott
