Default Question for you Ultra Owners

I just got a 2017 RGU - Here's the crazy thing... I love the bike and the only changes I made were grips, mirrors, boards that's it.. I've never left well enough alone but I'm just not seeing anything else I want to change.. MAYBE i'll do slip ons and an air filter...

What are some of the mods you've made and would recommend?

I'm all about comfort. Second the post above on the pegs and backrest. I'd throw in a better seat.

I have found that the more bikes I buy, the less I add. I have totally stopped cosmetic additions. Comfort 1st, performance 2nd.

Harley Davidson DVD player, Installs on inside of fairing windshield so you can watch movies on long trips. The Lion King will get me from home to about Chicago.

I'd suggest comfort items and performance.

First thing is Hammock seat and back rest, those 2 made my comfort level so much better.

Highway pegs are great too. I worked with different windshields a few times to get the buffeting minimal. I ended up with the standard Ultra windshield because the Hammock seat raised me up a little over the stock Low seat and the Low windshield is about 1" or so shorter.

I also done the Stage 1 with the Super Tuner but from all I've read and heard the M8's level of performance is comparable or better than mine even with the Stage 1.

Safety - Bright *** Taillight
Comfort - Highway pegs that will allow multiple re-positions of your legs on long trips
Comfort - Driver's backrest

Extended shift levers. Extended brake pedal. Crash bar bags. Drink holder mounted on glove box door. Stock seat until it need recovering , then a HD Tall Boy. New suspension front and rear because not everyone is a 170 pound rider. I make sure the motor is running well and ride...

It's yours, do whatever the H you want with it.
Mine is older but, stage 3 engine kit, pipes, boards, grips, LED lights, conversion kit for tourpak lights and rear turn signals, backrest. New seat is still coming.
Plan to change bars too.
