Road glide dash
I'm making some changes to my 2004 road glide. I'm planning on powder coating my tank dash and when I do that I will have to purchase a new dash insert. I find that there are more options for dash inserts for the newer dashes than there are for the 2004. From what I can tell, they appear to be pretty much the same with the exception of the shape of the insert area. Has anyone ever replaced an older road glide dash with that of a newer one?

the dash for the 6 gallon tank has a different contour and the filler may not line up.
alot of us use the online parts manual to figure out what fits what:

there are some sleek aftermarket dashes out there- can;t suggest anything specific.
the dash on my 88 FXRP I sprayed with wrinkle black in 1990...still looks good to me

Try and find a street glide dash from a 06-07. The longer dash fits under the road glide seat just right and looks much better.
The SG console is pn 69214-04 or there was an accessory extended console 71288-03.
