As far as the gas cap placement goes I got a neat little spring clip that pushes into the underside of the gas cap that has a hook so it hangs on my clutch cable. For oil I run Spectro in all three holes that I change at 3000mi intervals (all three) with a K&N filter. I also pop my clutch cable out of it's perch on the handle bar, lube then readjust. And put a splash of Techron in the gas. Eyeball my belt and check the PSI in my tires, 36 front 40 rear. Wash then wax paint and polish my chrome, done with liberal amounts of beer of course.............There how's that managed to get all those subjects in one thread.

The install is way too easy as well. The only perks I have from my kit are (1) the swanky little tool and (2) came with seat screw too (wow). Again, head to your local HW and save...JMO.
Personally, I love the Brukus kit - I've bought it 3 times, and would do it again tomorrow if the need arose!

And you adjust your shocks for 2-up or keep it the same as for solo riding?

Oh, I could pay less, definitely! But, I spend half of my life away from home. So, my time AT home is worth a lot more to me than spending 45 minutes going to Lowe's, finding the parts, etc, etc, etc, just to save $20. And these aren't things that I can do when I'm on the road. So, I order stuff when I'm on the road, and it's waiting on my doorstep when I return home.

I aim to please Uncle Larry

When the brides on the back my bike looks like a Minnie Winnie loaded for bear, God I even have Yogi's picnic basket.

If she's not with me it gets stripped and a solo seat goes on and I lose 20-25psi

Thanks for the link, just ordered them. They are coming from china,
so I hope they arrive in time for spring riding..

For the price, I figured I'd give them a try, and it saved me from
a trip to the hardware store.

I have bit my tongue in reading these threads because I am biased being one of the members that sells one of the options mentioned.
However, it makes me wonder how you could replace something that concerns you with something that is so much cheaper than all the other options out there. Not to mention they are made in china and ship from china. I get you want to save a buck, hell I do too. But $25 for a $20,000 motorcycle? These are by far the cheapest mods I have ever done to my bike. And as far as the folks who say go to the hardware store and save a few $$. I have and at my local Home Depot and Lowes, using quality parts (not chinese crap) it costs about $22. Call me crazy, but for $3 I would rather be out riding than walking around a soulless box store trying to find what the hell I need in the right size and length.

This ^^.

There is no hardware store solution that locks as positively as this does.

Yes, it's $35-$50 depending on where you get it, and, yes, it does stick into the bag a little bit. Doesn't actually take up any useful room, though, and it doesn't interfere with the bag liner at all.
