Default high flow air cleaner

I have a 2010 Ultra. Thinking of switching to a high flow air cleaner. Good idea or bad? What can I expect to see different? Also will I need to make any other adjustments to anything if I switch? Thanks
Ozzy

If you still have stock pipes and mufflers, really no changes are required.

If you were to measure, you'd probably see 1 or 2 more HP, but I doubt you could feel the difference.

Rinehart pipes, or mufflers?

You might consider getting an inexpensive tuning device like a Fuel Moto Micro Tuner.

Only $200, takes Power Commander maps, which Fuel Moto will provide you with for free as long as you own it, if you make other changes to your bike.

I have considered buying a tuner. Just not the most technically inclined. Working to learn how to make changes on my own. Thanks for the help.

Truthfully the ECM will adjust to mufflers and an A/C, so you should be fine. I'm sure others here might disagree, but the ECM and sensors would adjust to those changes.

The Micro Tuner is pretty easy to install, it plugs in in-line with your 02 sensors, and a wire to the battery, not rocket science by any means.

Good idea. Should be fine with the O2 sensors without any tuning device needed.

sorry, not trying to hijack the thread here, but did I miss something? Always before I have had to use a tuner with EFI bikes when changing the AC.
My last bike was a 06 and I just bought a 2012 last summer. I too am thinking about adding a big sucker AC (have decatted headpipe with slip-ons) Will these newer bikes self adjust without needing a tuner?

for the OP, the best bang for buck air cleaner is the ness big sucker-usually under $120 on ebay from easternpc.
this is an easy install, the throttle body brace stays in place.
get the version with the chrome backing plate, that better complements the chrome and black motor.
the filter media is a washable, reusable, oiled cotton.

tuning compensation with nightrider.com xieds/vieds will be all you'd need for about $130. 5 minute install
