I've got to find an alternate seat. The stock places the top of the windshield right in my eye line, so getting accustomed to the windshield is even more difficult. I don't imagine the windshield will stay on for most in town riding, though, except for colder weather.

The stock roadking seat is a torture device. Find a seat you like and if need be get a shield from long ride. 2 of the best mods i did for comfort. Long ride offers discounts all the time. The seats are a little more personal preference.
congrats on the new bike.... i came from a dyna and it did take just a little bit to get used to the weight... mainly parking lot stuff... left my crash bars on until it felt comfortable....now i whip it around like a mini bike ... enjoy

Funny you mention that, because taking the crash bars off (and the passenger footrests) is something I want to do immediately, but with all that extra weight, it's probably best to keep them there for a bit. I'll never have a passenger, and my calves hit the passenger boards when I walk the bike forward and backward.

Those bars are a pretty good place to add highway pegs for those long rides. Or maybe some lower fairings also.
