any issues with running RH TDs for the left shield? since that pipe doesn't fit the 'normal' flow of dual pipes based on the curves... was wondering if anyone had the RJs with the new RH TDs and if the left shield works OK. that is my biggest concern right now with gettin 'em. The V&H Dresser duals conform much better to the 'lines' the original pipes had. but RH ... way different off of the #2.

Same Q here. I'm running an 07 ultra with RH T/D's and wondered about clearance.
I never though of that. I sure hope they will fit! I already ordered em! I guess they aren't shipping any orders until June 5th when they move into a new facility. As soon as I get them and have them installed I will post an update.
I don't have an adj back rest, but would think the shieds will work fine. the top ear of the shields locate under the seat "horn", right behind the console.should be an easy fit.
there website says"yes" will fit with adjuster , where as the hd and kary say "no" ????? Im tryin to hold off on the two wheeled money pit til next winter
Hollywood, I asked the same question to a forum member here, gman and here was his reply to me. I think it answers everything. I know it did for me. Thanks again for the replygman.
"ya, i really struggled too because of the cost. i was going to get the Kuryakyn/HD saddle shields. but after reading some posts about some folks having problems with the installation, and a couple of posts about them melting or cracking, i decided they weren't such a great investment. i was able to finally find some at a dealer and looked at them. really was not to impressed. didn't care for the look, having plastic/lexon hanging off the bottom of the seat.
after frying one more time in traffic, i decided to look around again. looked at the rjsoriginals and another one that was kinda similar but didn't fit the curves of the seat.
went with the rjsoriginals. they look great on the bike, and blend in well with the seat. they have an aluminum backing with the outer leather type material. if you didn't know better, you would think they were part of the seat.
as to whether they work or not, absolutely. they are great! no more heat on the inner thighs, and i couldn't be more happy. the wife was also complaining about heat on her legs when riding two up. she also is happy now.
know they are expensive, but i think compared to the other stuff out there, they are the best. certainly overpriced, but $80 or so for the Kury/HD plastic ain't such a good deal either.
bottom line, get 'em and you'll be happy after the sticker shock.

Dude, I think this would be one great investment before winter, money well spent. You know howI complained about the ride home today in my PM to you. My legs were on fire, but I did just take off the lowers. You're on a stock 07, i can only imagine how hot them pipes are going to get this summer. [:@]

I never considered the adjustable back rest, I've had one on mine before the shields, and still have it on. Has not caused any problem installing at all. Neither interfer with the other.
