Default Scorpion EXO Covert

I have been looking for a decent helmet and found the Scorpion Covert. I really dig the looks and being a 3 in 1 seemed pretty cool.
Other than the cool factor I was concerned with how well built the helmet is and would it hold up if need be.
Found it in XXL , I have a big head....It is def snug out of the box, but I am sure it will loosen a bit over time.
It is a full/ 3/4 to a half depending on what you want.
The padding is pretty plush. The mouth/chin portion snaps on/ off (flimsy). The bottom portion is pretty stubborn to get off but has steel tabs that seem pretty stout that lock into the main helmet.
When in 1/2 helmet I look like Lord Helmet from Space ***** lol.
Overall it fits well, flip down visor ( clear comes with it you can change out)
Nice helmet bag and another small bag for chin guard portion.
Few pics...

That is a good looking helmet.

I have no complaints with my current Scorpion helmet.

I like it so far.
I haven't tried to put my glasses on and then slip helmet on, but I did try to put my riding glasses on after I had the helmet on (with mouth guard installed) ...It was a no-go.
Obviously you shouldn't need glasses if you have the shield down, but my point being is the temple area is very tight and if you wear prescription glasses it might be a bother.
I will do another fit/function with glasses tonight.

That's why I opted for the Scorpion Transformer style.

I picked 1 up when they 1st came out a couple months ago. I plan on just using it for cold weather rides and possibly extended touring trips. I usually rock a 1/2 lid but I thought this looked pretty cool and the matte finish goes with my bike. Haven't had a chance to really put it through the paces and get an honest review but the fit n finish on it is pretty good for a $200 helmet

Shoveled ... I looked at that one to begin with and like it also.

Matteglide... I like mine so far. It is definitely a decent helmet for the price.
It's getting into the 70's at times here so I will see how well it ventilates also.

I bought mine for my trip from Northern VA to the Grand Canyon in April/May 2010.
I normally use a "peanut shell".
It was the first time I'd ridden with a full face helmet in 20 years.
It took quite a few miles to get used to it.
The snow showers coming through Sandia Pass, and morning temp of 26* in Grants, NM made me glad I bought it.

Thats the main reason why I bought mine. Wanted something to add a little more protection from the elements bs my 1/2 lid when I'm on long road trips. I also have a sportbike so I'm used to wearing a full face helmet. I just liked the look of it compared to a traditional full helmet. Also the slide down sun visor and detachable chin guard will definitely come in handy!

Looks like the one I just received today. (EXO-GT3000) Very comfortable and at 3.5 pounds the lightest modular I've been able to find. Replaced my old HJC that weighed over 4 pounds. The Covert is a cool looking helmet but don't buy one if you're looking for full face protection except from wind and bugs. It is DOT certified as a half helmet. The face guard is held on by magnets and would probably come of in a crash. However, for those that normally wear a half helmet the Covert is great to give you options based upon the weather.
