Been reading a little here and there on these forums but I've never made an account or posted, so it's a first here.
I picked up a 2007 police edition Roadking at the end of last year, it has a 103ci in it with SE 251 cams, also has cobra-true dual header pipes connected to Kerker slip ons.
It does not have any form of fuel management pack or anything like that.
What can I do with 'er besides ride the **** out of it when spring comes around?
Did a little bit of self research and keep coming around to the Power Commander V and III, but recieved a rec from a tech to check out the TTS Mastertune- the problem with that is that JP Cycle says that the TTS MT can't be put on my bike.
Anybody have experience with tuners and 07 FLHP's? -Second quick question- when looking for the service manuals, am I looking for the 2007 touring model books or a later year because of the difference in engine? I saw that there was a police edition specific supplement, but it doesn't specifically state that it is for FLHP, only flt models. I'm pretty new to this so bear with me here.
Thanks, Looks like there are at least two books I'll be picking up here very shortly.
Still hoping that somebody has some input on tuners for it though, I don't want to just assume that something will fit- buy it- and then have it be a $xxx dollar mistake.
I have an 07 and went with the PV from fuel moto. Very happy with it. Depending what they did to the bike when it was civilianized you may get away with the standard Service Manual with the electrical supplement. Has the pursuit switch and siren/horn button been removed etc? Congrats on your purchase.
I also have Powervision but with Target tune as my bike don't have oxygen sensors . Have changes pipes ,cams, gears and PV has daily bike in every time. Plus I think Fuel Moto has great sale now on PV
