wanting answers, last yr, when starting my bike, you could hear the fuel pump kick on right before, it started, and now this yr, can't hear it, but yet still starting fine, is their a reason, why, I don't hear the fuel pump, thank you in advance. Donnie
Did you hear it with a full tank, empty tank or every time?
The pump is submerged in the fuel for cooling so perhaps that has something to do with it?
Maybe the system is holding pressure well enough that the pump only blips on and that sound is lost in everything else initializing?
Perhaps the pump has just gotten quieter with age and use.
Maybe put your ear on the tank as you turn the ignition switch on to see if you hear it tgat way?
As long as the bike starts and runs well without signs of fuel starvation I wouldn't worry too much about it.
