We are heading down next weekend for 3 days. Short ride from Jacksonville but there are a couple nice scenic routes. We always stay in a hotel near Main St as my wife hates camping. I am trying to talk a couple buddies into going the following week and tent camp somewhere. Any good suggestions on where?

I usually stay at the Moonshine Campground on Rt 1 in Ormond Beach. Walking distance from Destination/Rossmeyers, easy access to I-95 and a nice way to access the Tomoka Forest. 24hr bon fire going, good people there, never seen so much as an argument.

Bike traffic started picking up during the Daytona 500 Speed Weeks this year. That's a bit earlier than normal. Could be a sign of a bigger than normal crowd. Or people staying longer and attending both events. Good news is in spite of rumors that The Razorbacks would not be in town, they will be at The Broken Spoke and The Bank & Blues. Hands down, the best show at Bike Week.

No particular draw to the Broken Spoke unless they have a good act, which The Razorbacks are. Better off to get tuned up at The Beaver Bar having $2 beers, then walk to the Spoke. Both are across US1 and within walking distance of The Iron Horse.
