I leave mine on most of the time, but being able to remove it for cleaning the bike is something to think about to

I also thought choices were fewer until the rack picked out wouldn't work with the high sissy bar. On the page away from the rest of the racks, there's a rack shown that attaches to the sissy bar. I went with that one, they didn't have it in stock, had to wait a week. Definitely not disappointed, the catalog photo is so small, you don't see the extra details. The bolt receivers are 2 bolt plates that have the "wide V" logo on them, a nice touch. 2 baggers ago, I had the 4 channel that the tourpak was bolted to, much harder to polish the square tubes than the round ones.

Here in SoCal we call that flat channelled rack a "six-pack rack". I also didn't like the look and got the "2-up Nostalgic Rack" and am more than pleased. It has sides that support the load and provide bungee points. It neatly holds a "Jeep" or other weekender luggage bag. Of course it all comes off the detachable rack - and that was one great accessory purchase!

BTW, I find t-bags unnecessary and somewhat over priced, but then I'm on a bagger. With another model, a T-bag would certainly be a must-have for trips.

Do yourself a favor and buy from Ebay (or this forums Classified section) and save a hell of a lot of money. And, although the instructions say the air valve needs to be relocated, I had no such need for an 07 RK. Also, the spacers supplied for the rear connection for the quick detach backrest are not needed - plenty of clearance without them.
