Default Dyno base line

Dropped off the bike at the dealer for some base line runs so I can figure out what cams I've got, it was 40 degrees and sunny so I figured why not. I know they are customer service people but they were all drooling over it telling me its bad *** and looks wicked. Still made me feel good.

Anyways. Can't wait to get it back. Hope the curve lines up with something. I know its got s&s ez starts just don't know the number and want to know what it puts down. I felt way more comfy on it Saturday than I did last year with that close seat. It gets with the frigin program. They are gonna check air fuel ratios too. I think its 50 bucks well spent.

If it were me, I wouldn't let my bike get anywhere near a dyno at a dealer.

I know the guys. I work on their trucks. And I am a gm mechanic. I'm not into the all stealers are douches routine. But I don't have any Indy anywhere in a 4 hr ride

I doubt you are going to know what cams are in it by looking at a dyno sheet.

One of two things are going to happen, either they run the dyno and you like the numbers in which case good for you. Or, they run the dyno and you hate the numbers on the sheet and then you have to decide, is it the cams, or the compression for that 106 build, or the exhaust, or all of the above.

I'm assuming you were not involved in the 106 build and bought the bike this way.

I'm not saying they're all douches, but I am saying that very few of them have skilled, experienced tuners. Staff at Harley dealers have a lot of turnover. Often the guy doing the tune is the latest guy to get trained. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I dont get my bike tuned every day, so I didnt have a problem traveling for a day with an over night stay to get it done right.

I've seen tons of bad tunes from dealers posted here, and I'm one of them.

Here's an example. How f*d up is this?

How did they get them to cross that low? Did you ever find out what the map looked like for this?

There are different scales on either side. Took me a while to figure it out.

In reality they got it to 95TQ so not horrible for a 103 stage 1, but it was STD correction factor, so shave some off for that, and at the end of the day it was not completely horrible, but the whackiness of the whole thing really turned me off.

Definitely not the work of someone that knows what they are doing.

Ya got it that way. Know it was put in by speeds in rapid city. old owner called them. Since it was more than 2 years ago and the bike has not been back the info has been purged from their computer. They put in 2 different cams in their 106 kits with 2 radically different curves with the ez start series. So they suggested Dyno pull to figure it out. peak torque will be at 3500ish for 551 cams. Or start lower and peak 4500 to 5000ish for 585 cams.

By no means are they allowed to tune it. But I do know the guy doing Dyno stuff is their most seasoned tech.

Ok so you have it narrowed down.
