Default Need to do inner cam bearings?

04 Road King with 23,000 miles stock except for stage 1. Doing my cam chain tensioners and ordered the tool to do inner tensioner without pulling my cams. Ordered CYCO shoe kit with tool and gaskets. Do I need to do inner cam bearings? Trying to keep it simple and money is an issue right now do to personal stuff, but dont want to cut corners want it to be done right.

No you do not.. I would, but that's me. There are better bearings than the stock, but that tool is $100 itself.

Autozone had a blind bearing puller for free if you return it to get your deposit. I wound check them including the wear on the oil-pump face unless you checked the oil pressure at 2000 rpm with a gage. Should be about 33-38 or so. Is there a youtub on this tool? Is it on the internet?

Please take some pictures. At your age, they need replaced but I bet they are not 1/2 worn out. However, the larger bikes usually get a lot more rpm on them then the softails. My at 50k are still original. I am just going to bite the bullet someday and pull mine and the valve covers since I do not want adjustable push-rods.

Here's the YouTube link for the tool.

Heres a couple pics of my tensioners. The outside one needs to be replaced and not sure about inside tensioner and don't have a mirror to check it. It looks to be in one piece but I'm just gonna do them both anyways.

Good plan!! Make sure to get the "new" material pads or go with hydraulic tensioners and cam plate

I'm curious, do you have a part number for Timken cam bearings?

Mine look pretty worn out, front one does at least. Im pulling the rocker box covers to get push rods out. Trying to keep things simple and dont mind the extra labor to save some money at this point.
