Default Performance headlamps

I have a 2013 Road King and I recently replaced the factory bulb with one of the "performance" bulbs (they have a blue tint). It immediately blew a 15 amp fuse. To use these bulbs do you just need to use a 20+ amp fuse or does it take something else? The HD site says that the bulb should work.

I would make sure the bulb is ok as well. When fuses blow immediately like that usually means shorting to ground unless the draw of that light is so much greater.

If the wire was designed for a 15 amp fuse, don't put a bigger fuse in it. There's something else going on.

Or worse yet a fire.

Put a new fuse in put the old light back in and see if it blows after you check your wires. Still might be just a bad bulb
