Its like dangeroussays...its all in where you live... I've got a J&M on my SG and I like the way it looks and the quality of it is excellent...butI definitely lost about 10 miles in rande on my FM...oh well...
I bought the 18" antenna from Autozone and it seems to work as well as the stock H-D 30 foot tall antenna. I don't recall the manufacturer. I also tried the 12" antenna that they sell but it lost to much reception. (well it seemed like 30 feet tall).
I went to Wal Mart and bought a antenna for around $8. 17" High. Called SoundFX High Performance Amplified Replacement Mast. Comes with all kinds of different adapters too. I haven't lost any reception that I've noticed.
What are guys using to cover the antenna studs on the King Tourpacks that have gone with the hidden antenna??
I got 2 threaded rods sticking off the back of the pack
Just remember...If you go with the billet antenna's, they don't have springs on them and if anyone bends it, you're screwed. I most likely will go with the EuroStyle 13" which are flexible.
