Question about the stage v tire shredder kit. Currently, I have the Stage 1 with Vance & Hines Power Dual Headers and CFR slip ons. Can I buy this kit and go straight to the Stage V or do I have to do Stage II, III, IV first?
You should be able to do the kit you have listed with no problems but what year is your bike ? Also if it were me I'd bump the comp. up to 10.6 on those cams, that engine would run a lot better and get rid of the CFR's, there killing your bottom end.
From: South Carolina-First to secede and hopefully the next.
I may be wrong and am more often than not, but I would guess that a "Stage V" would include II thru IV.
I'd look around. If I ever do something like this I would be looking at the Fuel Moto 110 with the Level B head work. Less $$$ than the SE system and dyno charts say more bang for the buck.
I had the dealer do a stage 1 before I took delivery. So when I had them do the stage 2, they removed the slip-on pipes, the tuner, and the breather from the cost of the upgrade.
I can't vouch for fuel moto. I got the screaming beagle stage v so that the bike would stay under warranty at time of delivery. Rev limiter and hp increase helps 80-100. But it does get hot when in the city. Forget about jerking off if your left handed after riding thru Manhattan though.
I added the kit to my bike. No need to go stage by stage, everything you need is in the kit except a couple of small things. I did add a high volume oil pump, billet cam plate and raised the compression. I think it was well worth the money. If your bike is still user warranty and you have the dealer do the work it will not impact your warranty. My bike made 119tq and 109hp. It made the 119 at 2,250rpm and I had almost a flat curve until about 4,500rpms. After a good tune it ran smooth with no issues at all.
Good luck with your decision. I know there are a lot of choices and some may give better power for for everything in a box it's a nice setup.
Johnny why don't you bring that bike over to Tn. and J&B Performance do a 110 drop in kit for you with some good head work, slap in woods 999;s, with a good exhaust you should be around 130hp and 135tq. Not that far off, check them out on FB and give Brandon a call, tell him I sent you.
