Go to your Harley dealer , they have different sizes and shields you can try before you buy.
There you go. You have nothing to lose and plenty to gain. Try them all free . IF you find nothing that works for you at least it cost you nothing and you have a better idea what you are looking for.
On a RG try the RGU windshield. Also try the HD wind splitter in the different heights.
I have both the Klock Works 12 & 15 pro tours, use the 12 for the stock custom seat, and use the 15 with an ultra seat. Sounds like you need something in between. When I was shopping mine, I think CeeBaileys had the most height options in a contoured shield. That may have changed now that the new fairing has been out for a while now.
Good luck with your search. I sure would like a power adjustable shield. I think the closest thing to that is the madstad, just no power to adjust on the fly.

One thing nice about freedom is if you keep protective wrap on it you can try it and return it if it's not good for you.
I tried a 12 and it put the Wind right in my eyes. I bought it used so I just resold it.

I have a 13 inch Freedom shield. No distortion at all, not even in the recurve. It's wide at the top, so it does good job at deflecting wind and rain.
I had a Victory XC in between Harley's for about a year. I came across someone who wanted to buy it, so I was lucky and got rid of it about a year ago. Then I brought my RGS. I agree that Polaris is a junk company. The bike was okay, but lack of dealer support, parts, service, and zero customer service interest from Polaris cured me from ever buying anything from them again.
Welcome from Maryland. Bummer about another bone-headded move by Polaris. You will love how you have so many options, parts, accessories and so forth for your bike. Plus plenty of shops and dealers to choose from. Freedom and Clearview Recurve have worked well for me.
