Looking for some input I have an 08 sg with a power vision target tune and I was out today and at hard acceleration it falls fat on its face around 4800 rpm like someone hit the kill switch but will keep rinning after
If you roll on the throttle it will go to 5200 rpm and do the same thing
How many miles?
Have you done the fuel filter or replaced the inner tank fuel lines?
I know that can cause problems at high fuel demand.
45k miles and I've never done a fuel filter I bought the bike last summer it just started doing this the last 2 rides I had it dyno ed last fall after I pit the cams and power vision in it and it ran perfect
I put 600 miles on this year and have had no problems it's running good other then when I really get on it
Only way to tell for sure without exploratory part replacement is a pressure test.
I believe the recommended service interval for the fuel filter is 25k.
The inner tank fuel lines can develop pin holes which can cause fuel related performamce problems.
Do you notice anything at startup?
Rough idle?
Does your problem only manifest at half tank or less?
Sounds like you should replace the fuel filter in any case if it hasn't been done.

idle seems good and it dI'd have a half tank in it when it started doing it but I never did get on it when it was full so I'll have to get a preasure test done and order a filter
I was reading some guys have issues with the power vision causing a similar issue
No experience with the PV so can't help you there.
Others more knowledgeable than I will chime in I'm sure.
I just finished doing the filter and tank lines because of a leaking check valve, so I did plenty of research on the replacement and consequently the problems which precipitated the repair.
Not to bad a job to do yourself.
Plenty of info here and in the FSM.
I will add to just get BF pair of channel locks to get the top plate off.
No need for Harleys tool.

thanks maybe I'll get the hoses to while it's apart
Disconnect the PV first. Always do the easy and free things first. Fuel filter? Even, air filter?
I adjusted my map one time and instead of inserting "27" at around 4000 R's,, I put in 267. It fell flat on it's face too. Good luck. Let everyone know how it turns out.

I would do this second. Clean and tighten battery cables first, then: This
