Right hand side of the bike
Went on a out of town ride this past weekend totaling 900 miles and had to endure some rain! Pushed the bike hard bout 90mph which she has handled before came home Sunday just pulled her out the garage and saw oil puddle below the bike then further investigation saw some oil which was mixed with water from the rain
So for my main question where could this be coming from and why? (2014 Street Glide Special)
It is normal for that to happen if your oil is completely full or riding hard. The air from the pistons has to go somewhere so it is run through the tubes to your intake to be burned again for emissions. Sometimes it does not intake it all and you get a leak.
Appreciate it gentlemen…I just spent the last hour trying to locate where it possible came from never seen that much before! And I have riden this bike cross country before and it never did it, so I guess this is nothing to worry about!
Use the link I gave you and read through it all and it is an easy fix. You will never have another problem again.
Also just a FYI the way the 14 year air cleaner is facing when you are riding in the rain the water is being pushed into the air cleaner and into your motor as the throttle intake is sucking in gas. Not good.
Just finished reading it and it truly makes sense! Going to save that link for my next oil change…wiping down the residual oil and see what happens tomorrow! Just happy it is a simple fix/solution

Another FYI if you get the chance it's cheap. If you still have the factory shifter on your bike. Before it fails on you, and it will. Pick up some heim joints right handed threads. The factory shifter is notorious to fail at the worst time.

Or...set the oil level properly, hot, and oil wont push out through the breathers, overfill it and it will push it out the air cleaner EVERYTIME!
And actually the very small amount of water that will get in the intake tract will not harm a thing, but will help clean tbe carbon off the pistons and valves....look up water injection!

Yeah back in the day we use to do that with a little spray water in the carb as it ran. I was just referring as he was riding in the rain not a little spray. I would (assume) that a lot of water is not good hence the rain socks they sell with air filters.
In reference to the correct oil level. What would that be? Seems that no two bikes are the same with oil levels.
Like the Tag as well. If I ever see it at a local bar. I'll buy the first round.
