I just put a set on my 08 Ultra and I think they were well worth the money. I tip the scales at 195lbs and the standard spring is just fine for me.

This is an older thread but I wanted to ask the guys already running them. I've read with the new premium HD shocks that there have been fitment issues with quick detach backrests hitting the top of the shock on the rushmore bikes. With the way the 412's are shaped at the top is this an issue with them? Anyone have any pictures of the shock mounted with a quick detach sissy bar to see the clearance?

My OL has 'em on her abroad King - 12". They've been on there for 5 years and she loves them.

I went with 12.5" Heavy duty 412s to save some money on my rebuild. Now wishing I went with standards. Even on softest setting it way too stiff when I'm one up, and I weight 200lb. Kind of annoyed, but had plans to upgrade this winter, so I will tough it out.

That's good to hear, not for you but me since I went with standard over the HD. I'm weighing in at 205lb and ride solo 95% of the time.

Same for me, 12" Heavy Duty and softest setting to stiff, 215lbs. They sit in my garage and collect dust now.

JAG, let's chat. I'm 250+. Should be more like 220 but, well, I'm not. So HD would work for me. Care to get those off your garage shelf?

I ride a 2007 RK Custom. My shocks are 12". I assume these would fit?

Compared to my stock 13" air shocks, my 12" 412HD units were noticeably better. Im 230lbs and ride on setting 2 for a really good ride. With my buck and a quarter wife and fully dressed bike, I set to 4 or set at 5 when loaded down for the road. 2013 FLHTC. Just added a Hammock seat and now even better!
